About the theatre

We are delighted to produce our work at the historic Baddeck Masonic Hall, built in 1898.

Where is it?

The theatre is located at the corner of Queen and Grant Street, Baddeck - 24 Queen Street, Baddeck NS, B0E1B0

How do I get there?

From Baddeck's main street (Chebucto St.) - 2 minute walk. Head for the Post Office, or Stone's Pharmasave. The cross-street at these locations is Queen Street. Simply head up the hill and you'll be with us in seconds!

From the Sydney airport - 1 hour drive. Head for the Trans-Canada Highway (Westbound). Take Exit 9 For Margaree Road, Baddeck. Turn left onto Margaree Road, which becomes Chebucto Street. Turn left onto Queen Street. The theatre will be on the right-hand side.

From Halifax, NS - 3.5 hour drive. Take Highway 102 to Truro. Follow the Trans-Canada Highway (Eastbound). Turn right onto the Shore Road (signs for NS-205, Baddeck). Turn right onto Chebucto Street at the four-way stop. Turn left onto Queen Street. The theatre will be on the right-hand side.

Yes! Our theatre is air-conditioned.

We are committed to welcoming patrons with disabilities. Should a support person be required to accompany the patron, we will waive payment of the ticket amount for admission to the theatre.

The theatre can be entered via ramp and there are no stairs inside the theatre (except to access the back rows). Any seat in the front two rows can be removed to accommodate a wheelchair. Since seating is general admission, we will happily reserve seats for you if you need seats removed, cannot climb stairs, or need to be close to the stage. You can indicate that this is something you require at the time of purchase, by calling 902-412-7122 or by emailing

Bar service:

We are licensed! Enjoy a glass of wine or beer before the show or during intermission. Our bar - which is also stocked with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks - is currently cashless. We accept Debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Street parking near the theatre is free.

Seating at the theatre is general admission. Doors to the theatre and access to seating open 30 minutes before each performance.

Theatre Baddeck acknowledges that our theatre is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people
