ABOUT THE PLAY

Daughter Mary-Rose has moved away to Toronto. Mom doesn’t want to waste money on expensive long distance calls so she’s recording all the news on tape to send to her. Dad can’t keep up, zany Gramma, with her Gaelic outbursts, is dealing with the out of control cat and they can’t seem to avoid all the other colourful residents of their tiny Nova Scotian community. This sweet, funny and whimsical play - featuring live music! - by Atlantic Canadian favourite, Mary-Colin Chisholm, is a celebration of story, family ties and a longing for home.
