"Alright then. Put her in the book ... I guess we're going to need a book."
ABOUT THE PLAY
Where does everyone gather to exchange village gossip, plan social events and maybe get their boat motor repaired? At the local garage of course! Ed doesn’t just run a garage that fixes cars and boat motors though. He also fixes people, who come regularly to sit in a chair out the back and talk about their troubles, often enduring Ed’s unorthodox, but effective, treatments. Join newcomer to town, Cassandra, and long time resident Peter, in a small seaside village on a beautiful summer day, both requiring some of Ed’s magic. It’s funny and warm and will make you want to stay in Baddeck forever!
REVIEWS
"What a fantastic show! We loved the intimate venue, the play, the acting, and the set. We are from Los Angeles and see good plays all the time but honestly, this was the best this year— funny, profound, touching, with what felt like localized references. We left smiling and haven’t stopped." [5/5 stars] - Deborah J. (Google)
"The show was excellent, great storyline, and the great humour spots certainly elicited a great deal of laughter from the audience. The cast was amazing!" [5/5 stars] - David B. (Google)
"Loved it! It is a lovely story and all four actors put in great performances. Definitely worth seeing!" [5/5 stars] - Eileen C. (Google)
"Honestly - as good as any festival theatre in Ontario. We went on preview night and it felt like they had been performing for weeks. It’s a lovely play! The actors are professional and talented and you can tell they are having a great time with the material. Wonderful chemistry and nuanced comedy from Michael Peng and Zach Parsons with Steve Maloney and Hannah Ziss providing good laughs as well. You’ll find yourself smiling at the end."
